Optical telegraphs are often found on the side of vehicles or in jewelry, but now they are being manufactured with a different logo.
In fact, they’re being produced in Mexico, according to a new article in The Telegraph newspaper.
The company, based in California, claims to have invented a type of optical telex, which uses a digital telegraph code to send messages to people in the same way as a real telegraph.
However, the company has no direct connection to the Mexican state of Michoacan, which has a notorious record of counterfeiting.
It is a violation of the state’s copyright law to make, distribute or possess counterfeit telegrams.
Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has said that the counterfeit telegram would be punished if found in public.
