The storm that hit Australia this week has been named the worst on record and the worst in the Pacific Ocean, with rainfall amounts reaching more than the UK.

The rain fell on the north-west of Melbourne with more rain in the city of Melbourne and Brisbane, and in some areas in south-eastern Queensland.
In the south-east, rain has fallen on the south of the city and in the Brisbane suburbs.
The storm hit Australia in late May, which is unusual in the western Pacific, and has left a record number of dead and injured.
